I am very delighted to welcome you all in our esteemed institution for the academic year 2024-2025.Sydenham College has become the constituent college of Dr. Homi Bhabha Cluster University, the first cluster university in the state of Maharashtra established under Rashtriya Uchtar Shikshan Abhiyan, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Sydenham College, established in the year 1913, is opportune enough to be the first commerce college on the Asian Continent with an array of British and Indian scholars, industrialists, academicians, and accountants who endow students with purposeful education. It is one of the pioneering colleges in the field of commerce and accounting imparting quality education over the years.
The college is the first in Mumbai University to offer M.Com course to the students’ right from 1925. The colleges have also introduced self-financed courses like Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS) and BCom in Banking & Insurance (BBI) and add on courses like National Stock Exchange Certified Capital Market Professional (NCCMP) and Diploma in Foreign Trade. From the academic year 2016-17, the college has introduced skill development courses like self-management and communications, which will help to improve the skills of the students, which will enhance their employability in the corporate sector.
The infrastructure of the college is the best among its peers. The college has a state-of-the-art auditorium, conference room, well equipped fitness center and gymnasium, hygienic canteen etc. Apart from this, the convenient location, spacious classrooms and healthy teaching and learning environment have assisted in developing the right temperament in the students.
At Sydenham College, we believe in bringing about multi-faceted development of the students by providing them with enriched knowledge and encourage them to participate them in various extracurricular activities. This helps in channelizing their energy towards a quest of excellence. Further, Sydenham college boasts about 22 student-managed societies which assist students to express and exhibit their talent and empower them to convert threats into opportunities.
The college is determined towards cultivating strong values by integrating academics with community service activities. Thus, Sydenham College is committed to in transforming every student into self-reliant and responsible citizens who are equipped to shoulder the responsibilities of society.

I am delighted to welcome all students, parents, faculty members, and well-wishers to Government of Goa’s College of Multidisciplinary Studies & Research (Autonomous), Margao-Goa (Formerly known as Government College of Commerce & Economics) for the Academic Year 2026–2027.
Our institution has made remarkable progress in a very short span of time. Established in 2010 with a single programme, B.Com, the College has evolved into a truly multidisciplinary institution offering a wide range of B.A., B.Sc., M.A., and M.Sc. programmes. Today, it proudly stands as the only Government Autonomous College in Goa, committed to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development.
The College offers several unique and future-oriented programmes that are not available in any other college, including the University in Goa. We are equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, featuring smart classrooms, modern laboratories, advanced learning facilities, and a disabled-friendly campus that promotes inclusive education for all learners.
